A Married Woman...Finally!!!

Now that we're finally settled in and things have calmed down a bit, here's a copy of the story that ran in my column (and Myspace) for the local paper.

A Married Woman...Finally!!!

Yup, it's official! After 3 years of waiting, Brent and I finally tied the knot a week ago (yesterday).(August 25th, 2006)

How was the wedding? I honestly do not remember. I was so nervous! But it was a good nervous; an excited nervous, like right before the curtain opens at a show you're in or watching.

Here's what I DO remember:

Taking Old Time Photos and piercing my belly button at the BEST last minute Bachelorette Party EVER with Abbey, Heather and Nikki

Rating the groomsmen on a scale of 1-10 at said bachelorette party (and I'm happy to report that not ONE of you scored below a 6!)

Dodging the groom at the hotel and church before the wedding

Worrying that Mark/Greg/Coran would not make it down from NYC in time

Talking "Married Talk" with Nikki while Abbey and Heather had their hair done

Looking at my best friends and realizing that this was without a doubt a sampling of the worlds most beautiful women gathered to stand up for me.

Laughing when Josh and Coran pulled the aisle runner down after Maggie threw the petals

My dad having to be reminded to walk me down the aisle

Gregorio looking directly at Robin when he read "a wife should respect her husband"

Katie's reading

Pastor forgetting Meredith's poem

Forcing myself to keep from crying when Abbey and Josh sang "One Hand One Heart"

Picking birdseed out of my bra

The reception

Crying during Abbey's toast

Laughing during Bill's toast

Wondering if Chris was going to make a toast

Everybody doing the "Jump On It"

Corwin (my 7 year old ring bearer) catching the garter and diving under Annie's skirt as he slid it up her leg

The mad hunt for my overnight bag (and consequently my birth control)

Depositing the wedding presents in the bank.

Brent and I had a lovely time in Niagra Falls on our "Mini Moon". Unfortunately, and I KNOW Greg and Abbey are going to LOVE this, Brent passed his now infamous head cold onto me and we spent Tuesday in the hotel, with Brent feeding me soup and me lazing in the hot tub that was in our room. We watched a lot of free HBO, went on the Maid of the Mist, the Skylon Tower, saw a great show titled "Oh Canada, Eh?", and spent time togeather as husband and wife. We talked about our future, our dreams, and where we'd like to be in ten years. But most importantly, we were togeather in our new life.

Back to life, reality, and work.

Next venture, finding an apartment we can afford.

Life keeps happening, time waits for no man, and God helps those who help themselves.

Thanks to everyone who made last weekend so special. I love you so much!

I love being married to Brent!

And so, the mighty apartment search continues as we look for a location that is between $600 and $900 a month...We have picked a few nice places, but saving saving saving is a sloow process!

Just as long as we have eachother, life will work out the details!

Attn:Gossips from Both of us

We are not vengeful people. We do not try to deliberately hurt anyone, nor do we turn our backs on someone in need. We firmly believe in turning the other cheek, and we are big fans of forgiveness. Overall, it's pretty tough to lose us as friends.
But there are exceptions to every rule, and apparently that applies to friendships as well. If you have lied to, cheated, stolen from, threatened, used, blamed, or hurt Brent, Sandy finds it very difficult to Turn the other cheek. The same goes for Brent if you have treated Sandy in that manner. We eventually will forgive because it is not in our nature to hate. But after we've forgiven, we NEVER forget the insult or injury.
That being said, we are not forcing people to take sides when it comes to certain individuals. If you have a party, invite all of us. We will not cause a scene, but we also will not seek out their conversation. We believe that you can be friends with us as well as with those people that we chose to no longer associate with. Just understand that we have chosen to no longer associate with them, and RESPECT THAT DECISION. We are not interested in how they are doing, if they have recoverd from their insanity, their love lives, their day to day basics, etc. We do not wish to see their names on livejournal, myspace, e-bay, etc. We do not want to recieve e-mails, telephone calls, or messages from them. If they have a serious accident or tragedy, or if something similar happens to a member of their immediate family, of course we'd feel bad and want to know about it. We are human, after all. But we do not wish to be blamed for their problems, nor dragged into them. We love you all very dearly, and we do not wish to burden you with our issues. If you truly are our friends, you will respect the fact that we no longer associate with Andrew Jacobs, Sarah Schaeffer, or Jerome Brown, and you will not feel the need to bring their actions or feelings to our attention. We have forgiven them for what they did to us. We are sorry for any pain we may have inflicted upon them. But we are perfectly happy to leave the past behind us and move on as far as they are concerned. There are some wounds that are better left untouched and not re-opened.

You think you know a person...

Been thinking a lot lately about the women in my life who have been rather LARGE dissapointments. Maggie, Keeley, Missy, Sue, Sarah, Erin, Karen, Jackie, Dana, Denise...the list goes on and on. And I've been thinking a lot about the women who haven't been a dissapointment as well, but that list is much shorter. Do you ever just get tired of being other people's emotional punching bag? Or how about their consolation prize?
I thought Maggie would be the last of the line, but now there's Denise. She and Mark came to see Brent at Swatch the other day. No one has addressed the childish and rude way she behaved the last time we spoke, and she still holds me not having money for the Pour House as a huge offense towards her. Well, fuck her! I introduced her to Mark because she seemed cool, but now it seems like she's going to be Maggie all over again. The selfishness, the rudeness, the "world revolves around me"ness. Plus, let's not even get into the way she treated Nikki when they met. I'm not putting up with that shit for another two years. Denise used me for what she needed, to meet a guy. Now she has no use for me because she NO LONGER NEEDS to meet a guy. So, let's throw Sandy to the wolves. That's really all she's good for anyway.
I hate being leftovers.

You belong to the Toreador bloodline. Often regarded as vain or shallow, the Toreador are blessed with a striking, almost supernatural beauty. Toreador are so driven by the pursuit of beauty that they are often highly connected with art, music, or theater. While they do have a uncanny ability to seduce and manipulate mortals, many other vampires simply dismiss them as decadant pretty-boys.

Malkavian

79%

Toreador

79%

Ventrue

58%

Gangrel

50%

Tremere

46%

Brujah

42%

Nosferatu

42%

</td>

What vampire clan do you belong to?
created with QuizFarm.com

...That's What Friends Are For

Yesterday was by far the BEST DAY EVER.

I have been trying for a while now to get a couple of my bridesmaids together to go pick out dresses over at David's Bridal, but for one reason or another, things have been falling through. Schedule conflicts were the main problem, and almost were the death of the visit this time as well. But through the grace of God, things worked out and yesterday Nikki, Annie and I headed over to the store to shop and have some girlie fun.

Our appointment was a 5:00pm in Freehold, NJ. My parents live about half an hour from Freehold, so at 4:30 I called the store to let them know we were on our way but might be a little late since we had to go through Lakewood and Howell during rush hour; the three of us then piled into Trixie (Nikki's car) and headed out under clear blue skies. Piece of cake, right?

About halfway there, the torrential rains broke out. I'm talking thunder, lightning, hail, and rain thick enough to keep the windshield wipers on perpetual overdrive. Most people would take this as a bad sign, especially there was about half a foot of water in the streets and traffic had come to a standstill. But not me. Here's why.

My grandfather on my mom's side was very sick when she and my dad got married. In fact, that's why they got married so early; so he could hopefully be there. But he took a turn for the worse about a month or two before the wedding, and my Uncle Skip walked my mom down the aisle because her father was in and out of a coma come my parents wedding day. The day my parents got back from their honeymoon, he passed away.

Here's the kicker, though. My mom went to the hospital to see her father in her wedding dress before the ceremony. Afterwards, it started to rain. One bad shower, and then clear sunshine.

The day my parents got back, it poured for about ten minutes, and then stopped and cleared up.

Since then, on the day of every big, significant event in the life of my family, it pours and then clears up at some point in the day. Graduations, performances, christenings and confirmations, you name it it pours at some point that day. We truly do believe that it is Grandpa Greene letting us know he approves, or reassuring us when we are uncertain if we are doing the right thing.

So a little rain? Didn't scare me.

We get to the store at 5:30, and sure enough, the rain has stopped and bright sunshine is streaming through the windows. I met with my new wedding coordinator, Christine, (My origional one, Flo, had to have emergency gal bladder surgery and had given my wedding over to Christine since she was out on medical leave.) who had brought up my file as well as all the stuff I had bookmarked that I liked online. We grabbed 4 different dresses, broke out Annie's digital camera, and headed off to the dressing rooms.

Ironically, the dress we decided on is one I fell in love with when I first looked through the catalogues. I went through all the dresses online, and kept coming back to this one. But I didn't push, I wanted to make sure that the girls liked it as much as I did. And they love it. It is the type of dress that will flatter everyone, has attachable spaghetti straps (which WILL be used!) and a wrap, as well as provides support in the dress and room for whatever undergarments you choose to wear. PLUS, it comes in both cobalt blue and lilac, our wedding colors! YEAH!!!!

After the girls and I decided on a dress, Nikki and Annie asked if I would try on the dress I wanted. Christine went around and brought it out, along with the required undergarments, and I shuffeled into the dressing room and the dress. I was a little nervous, because I ABSOLUTELY love this dress, but was afraid it looked terrible on me. I come out in it, and Christine had brought out the headpiece and veil I bookmarked online. She fixed them in my hair, and I turned around and asked what they thought. I could feel my eyes welling up with tears of joy, and I looked over and saw Nikki was crying. Annie was sniffling. And this was one of the most magic moments of my life, me standing there in my wedding dress with my girlfriends in their attendants gowns, crying, because it was like a little glimpse into the future; not to just MY wedding, but to THEIRS, our kids christenings, school plays, and Awards Ceremonies, all where we will be there together, looking up at eachother, and crying because we are so happy.

Nikki looked at me and said "You are stunning. This is it." We took pictures in the dress, in their dresses, and together. But sooner or later, the world csme back into focus and Christine was there with the application for a David's Bridal card. If I got it, I could put everything for the wedding on it and not have to worry about paying for anything or interest costs for a full year.

Christine came back as we were all changed out of the dresses. "I'm sorry, Sandy, but your application was denied."

To tell the truth, I half expected this, because my credit is so screwed up from my student loans. (Westminster never aknowledged the fact that I transferred schools, thus never putting my loans into abayance till after I graduated, and so I have two years worth of interest on loans overdue for a school I never even graduated from.) But after that magic moment in the gown, I was really hoping for a miracle and I'd be approved. Otherwise, I didn't think I'd ever be able to afford it. I was really trying to hide how upset I was, but it wasn't working. Annie turned to Nikki. "Should I?"

Nikki smiled and replied "If you don't, I will."

Next thing I know, Annie has been approved for a David's Bridal card and put the cost for my dress, my veil, the required undergarments, the headpiece, and her dress all on it. She then tells me that once she gets her statement, she will pay the balance off in full, so that Brent and I or my parents and I can pay her back in our own time. Or not at all. But I am not going to let THAT happen. We WILL pay her back, if I have to go into hock to do it.

Christine then tells me that if I lose enough weight between now and the wedding, they will let me size exchange the dress for the next size down, and they can also take it in up to two dress sizes from there. We left the store with the order for the bridesmaid dresses started, assurances from Christine that if I need anything not to hesitate to call, Nikki telling me that if we are short money for anything else to let her know and she'll help out, and a plan to go to Applebee's for dinner.

Needless to say, dinner was great. Highlights included Annie and I finding our High School Band photos on the wall at Applebee's, complete with us in them, our discussion about healthy eating, and me saying "Thank You" and "I love you guys" about a million times. We then dropped Annie off at her house and headed home, which was one of the funniest car rides ever, but since it was mostly inside jokes I'll not elaborate on that part today.

Annie has been my friend since we were kids. Nikki has been my friend for a little under a year. Yet both of them did something for me yesterday that I will never forget. They gave. Not just money, but they gave themselves. They said without words, "I love you, you're important to me, and I am so glad I am going to be a part of the happiest day of your life so far. Thank you for letting me share in it. In return, I will do whatever I can to make this as much fun and as little stress for you as possible." I truly am blessed with some of the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I only hope that someday I will be able to show then how much they mean to me as well.

Oh, and by the way, I'm glad you approve, Grandpa Greene.

We're Having a Heat Wave...a Tropical Heat Wave...

Well, not exactly, but close enough. It has been 90 degrees the past few days, and all I've wanted to do is go to the beach...which I am doing tomorrow because it looks like I will be rejoining the work force pretty soon! YEAH!!! CELEBRATE SANDY NO LONGER BEING A BUMP ON A LOG!!!!!
It's not the greatest job. In fact, it's not going to be fun at all. But it's a job, none the less, and I figured out how to set the timer on my VCR so I won't have to miss an episode of Passions. 3 cheers for technology! And for me!!!
Now if I can just get the part in Pippin...
And fix the hot water heater...
And the air conditioner...
And make Brent's family love me...
And get married...
Life will be as close to perfect as it can be right now!

Think About the Sun...PIPPIN....

Went on an audition for a stock production of PIPPIN today. Going back tomorrow to dance and read at CALLBACKS!!!! See what good things happen when people let Sandy sing!
On a slightly sadder note, Heather is leaving next weekend. I was attempting to throw her a going away surprise party, but first I had to wait till Josh got back, and now he's staying up north for a while, plus I can't even get heather to answer her phone now and her family is in town tomorrow, so I guess I don't even get to say goodbye to her. It sucks, because I wanted to do this whole girly day where she and Maggie and I go pick out bridesmaids dresses and out to lunch and then we come back to the house so I can get Heather's pants that I borrowed a while ago, and viola, everyone is here shouting "SURPRISE!!!!!" But I guess that idea is going the way of the dodo. Oh well.
Heather my love, when you read this, know I love you and you are my best friend and I miss you terribly, but I want you to have a good time in Michigan and California and know that you can always come home to us should you ever want or need to. I love you.
Nap time now. Yeah....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So, today is day two into the realm of the South Beach Diet. I feel pretty good; lots pf energy, not too much to do, though. Brent was supposed to take round three of job applications in wiht him, but forgot along with his lunch. Oh well, if he goes to McDonalds and screws up, I will stil keep dieting because I need to do this for me.
Still trying to contact the landlord about said money, but we can't seem to get through to him. Grrr, we can't even look for new places while that debt is over our heads.
Passions is pissing me off at the moment because they keep trying to turn my favorite character into a monster.
BLAH!!!!!!!!

To sum up Saturday in one word, see the title of this entry.
Last week was lots of fun, but extremly busy. Mark came out on Tuesday, so I was exiled to Harlem with Maggie for the evening. We had an ass-load of fun, to be honest, and when I got back on Wednesday, Andy and I talked, I mean really talked, for the first time in what seemed like months. I feel a hell of a lot better about that than I did before.
Thursday, Nikki come down and we went to Red Bank. We saw Bon Jovi's house, Barbra Streisand's house, and Bruce Springsteen's house (complete with Little League Courts). We then drove around on a "Dogma" tour of Red Bank. I showed her the hospital where John Doe New Jersey was, and we spent an hour trying to find CBA, the church from the movie (which we never did come across.) Then, we went to the Broadway Diner, where I had my first date. And we talked and talked and talked. It was so good to just talk with someone like that again. I've been feeling lately like I've been keeping everything bottled up, and the need to express is something I have neglected as of late.
Friday, I was feeling a little under the weather, but Brent, Andy and I trekked into the city to catch Frankie's performance of "Kiss Me, Kate." Unbelievable. That's all I can say about that. We went over to Swatch, Brent set up his direct deposit, and then decided to celebrate Sarah Schaeffer's removal form NYC by having dinner at Planet Hollywood. I think all the rich food may have gotten to my all ready queasy stomache, because on the bus my slight inclination to motion sickness became more than slight and I got sick. Just a little bit, mind you, but a little bit goes a long way in that departent. Once we got off the bus, I made it about a block before my stomach decided I needed a second look at my dinner, all over the sidewalk.
Today, brent went to work. Talked with his mom on the phone, she called me, and watched a lot of really bad television. I thought it was best to avoid public transportation today. Tomorrow, Brent and I are checking out Josh's showcase and going to Target to get some girlie things for the house, so it looks like I actually live here as opposed to now where it looks like I sleep over every once in a while.
Well, Brent and Andy have settled into their respective seats and started out quest into the depths of Buffy's seventh season. Alas, I have to watch!!!! Must...ogle...James...Marsters... Hooray for Spike and his hotness!
Night all!

A Shout Out...

The past week has made me realize just how much I love my girlfriends. So, today, I begin my tribute titled:

"What I Love About My Sisters"

Heather- My Soulmate Sister. You are so wonderful. I have never met a more selfless person in my entire life. Your heart is as big as the ocean, and you love so much. I am so proud of you, and the choices you've made in your life. I respect your dedication to your beliefs, and I support you every step of the way. You are absolutely beautiful. Never let anyone tell you different! Never settle for anything but the best (especially if it's under 4 inches) because you deserve the best.

Maggie- My Strong, Sassy Feminist Sister. You have shown me that it is okay to stand up for myself. You have stood up for me in times when I never would have had the guts to do so, and even when you didn't think I was making the best decisions you respected my choices and stood by ne through them. I love you for your strength. You could walk into a room with Claudia Schiffer, Julia Roberts, and Selma Blair and still be the most beautiful woman in the room simply because of your self confidence. You give off this air of confidence. I know that deep down you're insecure, but you know how to be yourself and are not afraid of who you are. Never, ever stop doing that, no matter who tells you that they think you are wrong.

Nikki- My Warrior Sister. You have shown me so much. I love you for the girl you were, the dame you are, and the woman you are going to be. One of the hardest things in the world is to change your life, and that's exactly what you are doing. I know things haven't always been easy, but you've come through fighting for what you want and never look back. You live your life without regrets, and for that I have so much respect for you. I have never seen someone make more lemonade out of the lemons life has given them than you. You rock!!!!

Val- My Big Little Sister. Never before have I encountered a woman who plays mom as much as I do, and as well as I do. You have been mom for me, little sis, and for that I am eternally greatful. I look at you and see a woman who knows what she wants from life, and knows how she is going to go about getting it. Your heart is so big, your tolerance immeasurable, and your smile so warm it could melt an iceberg. You're inspiring, and you make me want to be a better person. You give me hope for myself, and hold me to my convictions. You remind me that it's okay to be strong, but no one has to be strong all the time. You are my support, and my friend. You are inspiration.

Jess- My Quiet Sister. You show me how to sit back and enjoy life, and that I don't always have to be in the thick of things. You know how to listen, and how to take advice. You never are harsh, even when someone is harsh with you. I know sometimes molehills become mountains, but you take them in stride and brush yourself off. You are just now discovering the beauty that is you. Don't take it for granted. Treat yourself well!

Melissa- My Superhero Sister. You never fail to amaze me. It sometimes seems like you are able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. You know when to be blunt cause it's needed, and when to back off and give someone their space. People take advantage of your good nature far too often, but you take it in stride. You blow off some steam and keep on trucking so to speak. You'll never know how much I admire that in you. You have been dealt a few crappy hands, and still managed to bluff your way into the win. It never fails to amaze me how you manage to make everything work to your advantage. I am so proud of the way you have handled yourself in the situations that have come your way as of late. You are the 8th wonder of the world!

Pat Caville- My Older But Wiser Sister. You were the first person to accept me for who I was, no matter my faults. You've been there for me through thick and thin. I've never had a problem I couldn't go to you about, because I always knew you'd understand and wouldn't judge me. You are the most non-judgmental person I have ever met, and I love you forever for that. I have seen you at all stages, as have you me, and you never disappoint. You are my heart, my protection, and my strength. Hold onto yourself, never lose sight of who you are because that person is amazing!

Patti Pope- My Model Sister. One day, I am going to see your name stitched into the pocket of the jeans I'm pricing and smile. You make life interesting. You never settle, because you know you deserve better, and you hold out and fight for what you want. I have never met a person with more tenacity than you. You make me want to fight for what is right. You show me that it's okay to hold out for the best. And you're not afraid to put yourself in the spotlight when it is deserved. Your beautiful, inside and out. There are many days when I wake up and want to be you. But there is only one Patti in this world, and I don't think the world could survive two since one is so awesome to begin with!

Rachel- My Compass Sister. So many people lose their way in this world and never find their way back to the light. You have taken drastic steps in the last few months to find your true North, and I truly believe that you are on the right track. Don't give up on yourself, you are worth fighting for!

Hilary- My Caring Sister. You show love above all else, no matter the cost. You are an amazing mom, and I hope I am as good at it when my time comes. You prove that people never have to get old. You're ability to have fun, raise a child, and hold together a strong marriage astonishes me and gives me hope for myself. In twenty years, I hope to be as together and loving as you are today, but I know one thing for sure; you will still be my sister and my friend.

Frankie- My Mini-Me Sister. Looking at you is like stepping through the looking glass and entering a Twilight Zone type past. I look out for you because we are so much alike. I miss you when I don't see you, and I'm terrified about when you go to LA. (However, since Heather will be there too, I plan on introducing the two of you and hoping you bond and keep in touch.) You aren't afraid to follow your heart and chase your dreams, no matter where they may lead you. Know that no matter where you go, you can always come home to me and Brent. We adore you.

Sharpie- My You're Okay, I'm Okay Sister. You know how to have fun, and while you're still shy about a lot of things, you trust yourself enough not to be afraid of who you are and where you come from. You're striking out on your own next year and starting over someplace new. This is a big step in self discovery, and I'm so proud of you for taking it. Just know that I am always a phone call (and train ride) away, should you ever need anything.

Autumn- My Creative Sister. Your passion for your work shows in your passion for life. You glimmer, you glisten, you glow. Like a bright, shiny star that is put down on earth for all to bask in its glory. You are one of very few people who understand my longing for a creative outlet in a normal life. I look at you and want to paint a picture, or burst into song because you bring out my creative side. You make me remember why I love to perform and why I love art; the beauty inside you is reflected in the world as you see it.

Julie- My Smarty Pants Sister. You have overcome incredible odds and still never give up. You and John always seem to make things work, no matter how difficult the situation may seem. Your heart is three sizes to big for the rest of you. You carry so much love and joy around for everyone, and everyone feels loved and happy just to have you around!

Drea- My Baby Sister. You are the person I most want to protect in this world. I look at you, and I want to make the world a better place for you to live in. I hope you never have to go through the things I did, and that you always find happiness. You are a ball of sunshine that never fails to brighten up my day. I wish you joy, peace rainbows and bunnies, all the things that you bring into my life. You are happiness personified, and I hope that you will always shine like the morning.

T minus 2 1/2 hours and counting...

Tomorrow is my 24th birthday. I am looking forward to whatever antics Brent and Andy have up their sleeves. But honestly, I don't really know how to take the attention. I mean, I have rarely done anything for my birthday because of when it falls. But it's a little weird that other people want to make a big deal about it.
Also, I don't know what's going on with the short film. The director and I were supposed to meet today, but rescheduling was needed, and now he wants to meet tomorrow in Washington Heights or something. Oy Vey!
Nikki and Lee came down to visit last night. Mark, Maggie, Heather, Brent, Nikki, Lee, and I all went to the movies, and had SOOO much freaking fun! I adore being in big groups of people I love, don't you?
Set the date for the wedding with the church. Looking at reception sites, and I'm getting better from the bad case of Tonsilitis turned Strepp Throat I came down with this past week.
On a somewhat stranger note, someone e-mailed me the link to The South's Revenge's livejournal. It was an interesting read, to say the least. I never really knew just how much of an insensitive bitch I am untill I read it in her words, you know? Meh, I've been on this kind of big forgiveness kick lately; you know forgiving those who've wronged me and attempting to reconcile with those I've wronged. Seeing as I've made peace with two of the four women who have caused the most pain in my life as of late, I guess Keely would be next on the list. But after reading her journal, I don't know if I'm up for forgiveness on that side yet. Too many lies, I won't be able to tell what's true and what isn't. Not to mention her OBVIOUS opinion of me in her journal. Meh, I'll pull a Scrlett O'Hara on that one for now and think about The South's Revenge tomorrow. Actually, since tomorrow is my birthday, I won't think abput it then, I will think about it on Monday.
That's about all for now kiddies! Goodnight!

My Dream...

In this dream, there is peace and quiet. There is 48 hours with nothing to do. There is Brent (of course) me, and no one else. The music is soft, the lights are low, and we dance. All we have to think about is each other. The only relationship we have to focus on is ours. We just hold each other, laugh, and when we've danced enough we lie down and stare at the stars. And the world is at peace. We are at peace. We just lie there and listen to the silence. And we smile.

Back to reality.

Our lease is up in May. That gives me and Brent 12 months to plan our wedding. Why?
BECAUSE I CAN'T LIVE TWO MORE YEARS IN THE FRAT HOUSE!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my boys to death. But I'm tired of being the house mom/ maid/ everything. Yes, I know the boys clean up after themselves, but they really don't see how much I clean up after them ALL THE TIME. I've never said that they don't do anything, I'm just tired of having to do everything because what they do clean needs to be done over. And maybe I'm too picky, but I like the house clean, to my standards, and I think the guys standards are just lower tha mine when it comes to cleanliness.

I need a vacation from my life.

It's a nice dream, isn't it?

So, the last few days have been all sorts of fun!
Tuesday Brent was off from work so we decided to drive my car back to my folks house and spend a day ro two wth them since we hadn't seen them in over a month or so. We get up, and it is snowing to beat the band!!! This strikes me as odd, because the day before it was 50 degrees! Ahh, the joys of March, right! Well, we call my mom and tell her we're on our way, but it might take time because it's snowing, and she says it's raining by them, so I think the trip will get better because we will most likely drive out of it. Well it didn't get better, the smow got worse, and by the time we got to Manchester, there was an inch of ice on the roads, on top of the snow. But, in spite of all that, we managed to have a great time visiting with the folks and Billy, and we went to sleep happy.
The next morning, mom and I get up to take Brently to the train to go to work, and on the way home we decide we need to do something fun and girly. SO we decide to go to Davids Bridal and look at wedding dresses. SO MUCH FUN!!!! The wedding consultant I spoke with there was so helpful, and we tried on a bunch of dresses. We settled on three, and she told me I was more than welcome to come back with Heather before I make the final decision. I figured I'd take Heather and Nikki and get their opinions, as well as help them pick out bridesmaids dresses, some time this month or next, mainly because Heather is my MOH as well as the tallest member of the weddign party, and Nikki is my tiniest built, so if the dresses look good on them, they will most likely look good on everyone. My daddy came along, and he teared up when I came out in the dress that for now is my number one choice right now. I want to see how the top three look on once I've lost some weight, though, before I make my final decision. Afterwards, my parents were all excited baout getting started on planning the wedding and everything. My father even said that once they make the next 3 payments on the bankruptcy, they will be able to refinance the mortgage. They want to use the extra money to pay down a little of the loans, and out the rest aside for the wedding. YEAH!!!! I am super excited, because things are finally progressing!
So this morning, Brent and I started our daily workouts, and Andy joined us. Fun times, even though I am sweaty and gross. I think I'll go shower now!
